Did my little one play with it? yeah, sometimes. Did it entertain her for a bit at various points? Yeah... about 10 minutes at a time around 9 months and then one year (we rotate the toys to make them feel like "new"). Is it worth the money? I would say no. She has been far more entertained with toys that are a tenth of the price. And this is a little girl who LOVES plastic toys that make music.

Needless to say, having seen the price I'll pull it out again tonight to see if she's interested in it as a 15 month old again before passing it on. Okay, I am going to give a review based on the actual product and not the price of it! We got this for my youngest son for his 1st birthday last August. He loved riding around the backyard with his 5 year old brother in the Escalade Power Wheels we owned but he was to small to drive it himself.

This fire engine was perfect since it has a button on the steering wheel to power it rather than a floor pedal. It took him just a few seconds to figure out how to make it go and he has been having a blast with it ever since.

We have had it for nearly a year now and he still plays with it almost every day. I can see us getting at least another year worth of use out of it before we upgrade him to one of the larger Power Wheels models.

It was easy to assemble, and has not fallen apart yet even though we have moved it around the room to try to escape little sister. I know that the person that bought it expected it to move by itself, as most Geotrax seem to, but this one is of course just a push train. If you buy it without really studying the package, you may be disappointed. There is a fold out window that is fitted into a slot behind the burners. There are 2 hooks on it for the spatula and spoon. It includes a frying pan, fried egg, bacon, cookie, spaghetti, pizza, 2 cups, 2 forks, 2 spoons, and 2 plates. It is the perfect size for a continual stream of pretend play without the loss of floor space.

It stores nicely on a shelf or under a table. The fact that it can expand with the purchase of the other boxes (diapering/baby station, doctor kit, workbench) and the shelf unit that stores them all, makes it possible for this to be a series of toys that will keep my son busy for an entire year. I am impressed with this new line of toys and am considering getting the rest of Christmas with help of family.

My son got the Planet Heroes space ship for Christmas 08 and, not to leave my daughter out, I got her the Venus character, Dazzle, to play with. This is a really fun toy. It comes with a "Lava gun" and a shield, but the gun is the most fun part. It has a little "cannister" of "lava" that goes in the back of the gun and a little "dart" that shoots out the front -- that is also interchangeable with the other Planet Heroes "bullets", even the one on the space ship.

My only complaints are that the string that connects the "lava cannister" to the gun has already come untied a couple of times (no big deal) and that Dazzle does not fit in either of the pods on the Planet Heroes space ship. She does, however, fit in the front. So if Venus is in the space ship -- she's driving!

The toy is well balanced and she can stand on her own even with the big lava gun in one hand and shield in the other.

I purchased this so many years ago for my daughter that I forgot about this toy. I owed a review for this toy so, I want to mention what my daughter and I loved about this toy.

Originally when I bought it, these playsets were new on the market. The family was slightly different but in the end, it is still the same playset. I loved the fact that it was small enough to take to grandmas and that there were only a few pieces so, I did not have to worry about so many pieces getting lost. It was easy enough for my daughter to clean up. By the way, I bought these sets for her when she was five.

The whole thing is washable so, when sticky hands touch it (and they will), you can easily wash everything off.

My daughter loved dollhouses and activities that mimicked real life so, this was an ideal toy to fit the bill. The price was the real clincher since the sets were so affordable. I loved all of these sets and we purchased many of them over time. Some of the dolls (like the hair salon), the dolls had real hair. It really helped my daughter to use her imagination. There were no batteries or electronics needed so, I loved it even more. It easy enough to take on a trip to keep girls occupied.

Only flicker faintly if I wiggle the switch, but that's it. Poor quality toy -- this was not man-handled, but was played with gently by a 6-yr-old girl. It also has a poor storage plan for the stencils; they don't stay in the pockets. This toy should also NOT be considered as a travel toy -- directions with it recommend keeping it out of direct sunlight. I would assume that much like a Doodle Pro we had, it will warp in sunlight in a car. Seeing as how it is recommended for even younger ages, I do NOT recommend this toy at all.
