We bought a Power Wheels Barbie Jeep 11 years ago for our three year old daughter. The one listed here is slightly updated, with a real FM radio and back storage. However, everything else is identical. Our three year old daughter is now 14 years old. This jeep has been used by all three of my daughters, the youngest is now four years old. The Barbie jeep has lasted 11 years, and it's not like we took care of it like we should've. It's been left outside in the rain on numerous occasions and never skipped a beat. Last year (10 years after we bought it), we purchased a new Fisher Price Power Wheels battery as the old one finally gave out. This was purchased for our daughter this Christmas and I like the educational value of this toy, but our daughter found it a bit difficult to press the pen into the pad to hear the response. The cards are a bit challenging to put in as well. If I do this with her, she really enjoys it, but if she wants to do it herself, it's not so great. Yes this playset is VERY simple, however I think it lends itself for the kids to be more imaginative. Very sturdy and fairly compact. My 2 sons ages 1 1/2 and 3 love to play with it. The set come with 1 bigbird and 1 elmo and the other figures available in my area are 2 packs - 1 with elmo and cookie monster and 1 with big bird and grover.(which of course i had to buy) The kids like having twins of elmo and big bird. We received this train as a gift, even though my son has a giant train table with the wooden tracks and trains. Because it was train related, we had to open it right away rather than setting it aside to return since he has a perfectly good train set already!
It was easy to assemble, and has not fallen apart yet even though we have moved it around the room to try to escape little sister. I know that the person that bought it expected it to move by itself, as most Geotrax seem to, but this one is of course just a push train. If you buy it without really studying the package, you may be disappointed. I've seen this same train on TV with a train that runs via remote, but maybe I don't understand how the geotrax systems work and you have to buy separate trains.

When my 2.5 yr old son started play cooking, we knew we would have to buy some sort of kitchen for him. I was very reluctant to spend the money and honestly, sacrifice the space for one of those large, plastic kitchens. Having an 6 yr old daughter, we had been through the cooking phase and already bought and sold one kitchen. We knew that the novelty wore off and the lack of space was a pain.

I saw this set in Target, next to the large, wooden play kitchen that my son likes to pretend to wash his hands in each time we go there. It was hidden behind some other pink and purple items, next to frilly apron and dress up clothing.

No bigger than a large tackle box, it is compact and self contained. The top lifts off and becomes the stove with knobs that really do turn and make a nice clicking sound. There is a fold out window that is fitted into a slot behind the burners. There are 2 hooks on it for the spatula and spoon. It includes a frying pan, fried egg, bacon, cookie, spaghetti, pizza, 2 cups, 2 forks, 2 spoons, and 2 plates. It is the perfect size for a continual stream of pretend play without the loss of floor space.

It stores nicely on a shelf or under a table. The fact that it can expand with the purchase of the other boxes (diapering/baby station, doctor kit, workbench) and the shelf unit that stores them all, makes it possible for this to be a series of toys that will keep my son busy for an entire year. I am impressed with this new line of toys and am considering getting the rest of Christmas with help of family.

I still have the original Snoopy in perfect working condition, sound and all. My 3 year old grand daughter plays with it and so did my 2 children many years ago. It has survived all these years and I want to save it as an "heirloom" so I purchased this dog to replace it. It is a wonderful duplicate. It seems very sturdy and makes a grrring noise. I had to add a thick piece of shoelace to lengthen the pull cord. It is also a few inches longer than the original but the body is the same. No matter how many times we tried, my husband and I could not get this to stick to our shower wall. If it did stick, it fell down within two minutes (with no toys in the basket). My son got the Planet Heroes space ship for Christmas 08 and, not to leave my daughter out, I got her the Venus character, Dazzle, to play with. This is a really fun toy. It comes with a "Lava gun" and a shield, but the gun is the most fun part. It has a little "cannister" of "lava" that goes in the back of the gun and a little "dart" that shoots out the front -- that is also interchangeable with the other Planet Heroes "bullets", even the one on the space ship.

My only complaints are that the string that connects the "lava cannister" to the gun has already come untied a couple of times (no big deal) and that Dazzle does not fit in either of the pods on the Planet Heroes space ship. She does, however, fit in the front. So if Venus is in the space ship -- she's driving!

The toy is well balanced and she can stand on her own even with the big lava gun in one hand and shield in the other.
