My son received this for Xmas at around 18 months.
It is a toy he consistantly comes back to playing with.
It was great idea to incorporate the shape sorter into the top half of the boat.
It was also a GREAT idea to create the starter outlines on the bottom as well as on a couple places on the top so the blocks can be stacked.

My son LOVES this lil puppy toy. But as a parent I have 2 problems with it: 1) the string is a little too long, it wouldn't work as well if it was shorter, I realize, but it could still wrap around his neck so that concerns me. 2) like a previous review said, it does tip over all the time. I constantly turn it over for him but then it tips right back over very easily. I do like that this is a "basic" toy that dosen't require batteries, and that the noise is not loud at all. I ended up finding this at Target for 75% at the end of summer and held it for Christmas for my four year old. Of all the toys my daughter received, this is by far her favorite. We got everything shown in the picture, except instead of the jumper, we got a different outfit. She carries it around with her now and enjoys having a baby to practice on until her new little sibling comes around.

My 5 year old loved this. It's very kid friendly and has large controls to make the dragon movement. It might be too hard for a 2-3 year old to make the dragon lunge but I think that's something they'd enjoy with mom or dad anyway. My 5 year old would make the dragon 'attack' all the time and used it quite a bit for imagine play.

now that my son is crawling, i wanted to get him some toys that move that he could chase after. as usual, all toys are a HUGE P in the A to get out of the box, so much so that by the time i was done with all the wires, he box was completely destroyed and my chances of returning it were gone. and if i could return it i would, it just wasnt worth the $24 i paid for it.
all it does is move in one direction for about 7 seconds, thats it. none of the animals move independently or pop up at all. just they one guy, the elephant, is motorized and tugs the other 3. my son doesnt even like the toy. its got nice sounds and music when it does move, but after the thrill of that ends, this toy just sits there in his toy basket, untouched. also, the individual pieces do not stay connected if you lift the toy up off the floor, its impossible to keep the train connected unless you handle it with 2 hands.
