I just wanted to respond to the previous review (my son is also obsessed with trains and crossing gates in particular, and I ordered this gate as soon as it was available). The gate I ordered came with "transition" pieces for both the rail and road sections of the intersection; these pieces bring the height of the crossing gate down to the height of normal Geotrax rail & road sections. So we have had no problem connecting the gate to his existing Geotrax parts. I would double-check the box if you have it; given the insane way these toys are packaged, the pieces you are looking for might just be in there still.
