As advertised it does float, well half of it does! The back half of the bottom isnt solid so it fills with water. The toys are boring and dont do anything beisde the fish squirts. We got another brand's boat that has a soild bottom so it floats and son loves putting toys in the new boat along with the 'little people' it came with.
