This boat makes an okay, if unremarkable, addition to a child's Little People collection -- provided that it is kept out of the tub or pool. Sadly, this boat capsizes far too easily and is clearly not watertight. The boat is unstable at best and impossible to keep afloat under normal play.
A limited repertoire of sound effects and low volume add little to the toy's overall appeal, although it is sturdy enough for (dry) play and complements the Little People's air- and land-based vehicles.
The title is triply problematic: 1) the boat does not float well 2) it mimics a small, modern fishing vessel, not a sailboat 3) the various versions of the product name -- "Sail n' Float Boat" on the packaging and "Sail 'n Float Boat" on the enclosed documentation -- are both incorrectly punctuated, missing the second apostrophe in the shortened form of "and." (Children's toys, if not educational, should at least avoid teaching errors.)
If you are a Little People fan looking to expand your collection and do not intend for this boat to be used in the water, it is not an awful choice.
