We purchased this as a gift for our 2 year old nephew who is a rabid Beatles and Yellow Submarine fan. It was a great selection and he absolutely loves in - he enjoys pushing the sub around and singing the Yellow Submarine song in the background. It makes noises, (but none that require batteries or that are too loud) and has removable figures that can enter through the hatch or the opening side doors.
