My 19-month old son got this as a Christmas gift. Supposedly it is recommended up to 36 months, but I think he will be bored of it very soon because he has a similar toy. I am not sure what "sounds and surprises" the packaging is referring to, nor do I hear the "lots of rewarding sounds." "The center button squeaks and makes a basket everytime when pushed." The latter is true, but I don't hear any squeaking. "Sturdy and stable base allows baby to touch and feel without knocking it over" - well, not exactly, especially when your child is over 30 pounds. Supposedly you can adjust the height of the "four-position post" as your child gets taller, but I can't see how that can be done. I am sure the other basketball games are better.
