We purchased this toy when our son was about a year old. He is now almost 2 and although he still likes stacking the rings, he primarily loves bringing the rings in the bathtub. They can be filled up with water and then squirted as well as float in the tub. We've never had any issues with paint or dye coming off as I read in a prior post.
