I actually bought this about 2 years ago when my son was approx. 4 months old. He's now 2-1/2 and he still likes it.
Here is what I've found:
Depending on the distance the projector is from its 'screen', it may or may not be fuzzy. The tilting option can help with that issue.
I prefer the battery operation instead of plugging it in. I've used it for both naps and bedtime, and I've probably changed the batteries maybe 4 times. The places that I found convenient to set the projector never had a plug-in close by. There were times as well that my son wanted to play with it in his crib because he wanted to push the buttons. I definitely would not have wanted an electric cord then.
The music isn't that great, but my son likes it and that's what matters.
We actually have 2 of these. We visit my parents quite often so instead of trying to remember to bring the one from home, we just leave one there. What was kind of odd is that the set up for the two of them are different. When you push one of the selections on one of them, it always starts with the same piece of music or nature sound. With the other, it alternates the beginning song.
What was disappointing with both of them is that within days after purchasing, each of them projected from just two light panels instead of all three. I bought them from two separate stores so I thought that was really weird.
My husband also admits that when he's home alone he will play it to put him to sleep as well.Buy Fisher-Price Select-a-Show Soother!
