There are a lot of these walker to ride on toys available and this is one of the better ones available.

We had one that had a lot more bells and whistles (like the Fisher-Price Stride to Ride Walker) but they ended up playing more with the extras then using it as intended. Another big plus on this one is the sturdy construction. Others have two long arms that swivel out for the walker and then are suppose to click together for the ride on - this did not always stay clicked together and the ride on fell easily with the child falling down and screaming.

The stride part of this toy is great and helps little ones get around much easier. They love it and the wheels easily glide over carpet to wooden floors. The toy easily converted to a ride on but was less popular. The only extra is the lion's nose that lights up and plays a tune when pushed.

This is a very good multipurpose toy that can last for years so you will get your money's worth!

I purchased this toy for five dollars at a yard sale back in 2006 and it is still going strong! My daughter played with it almost daily in her crib as a baby and now at 2 1/2 she still likes to go into the nursery (now being prepared for her new baby brother) and play with it. This walker/stroller is a wonderful gift for your little girl that is merging on walking and beyond. It was pretty easy to assemble. Our daughter loves taking her dolls for rides. There is enough space between the back wheels for her to walk easily without kicking it. It doesn't go too fast and get away from her like some walkers do. My 4 year old son wanted this really bad for Christmas. I hesitated because of the price and the fact that he never plays with any toys for very long, but I couldn't disappoint him. He loved it and played with it everyday for over a month, until the mouth stopped working. I got the older version of this laptop for my son when he was about 9 months, to keep his attention away from my own laptop. It worked, and more than that, by 19 months he was recognizing and saying all the letters. The old one was extremely shock resistant and the handle was a nice feature, however, after spilling water over the keyboard half of the keys stopped working. Therefore I got this newer version that has also the typing feature and I also got one for our friends' son, who enjoys it as well.

My one-year-old has played with this toy for several months. He disregards the keys and pulls up on the lids themselves. Not quite what I expected. He's had more fun pulling the lids up and pushing them down again, and only accidentally happens upon the moving keys and the noises they make. We got this for my son for Christmas when he was a baby, so he'd have something to replace his mobile when he outgrew it. While I completely agree with reviewers that it is a pain to install and remove (very poorly designed in that regard), my son is 2 1/2 and still loves it. The bubbles stopped working by the time we changed the batteries the first time, but my son didn't seem to care about the bubbles anyway. Since he moved into a big boy bed, we removed the aquarium and put in on his bedside table, and it really helped him make the transition. We usually keep it on the music and lights setting, and I don't think it's too bright (although his room is pretty dark otherwise, so it also functions as a bit of a nightlight for going to sleep). My mom actually bought this toy for my son around 7 months because he was starting to really show an interest in crawling. The toy was used mostly in the drum mode for the few times he's played with it. He didn't even pay attention to the lights as much as he payed attention to the small pieces that move back and forth and around on the sides. Each mode only plays 1 song so you hear the same thing over and over. It did not hold my son's interest. He plays with all his toys usually when they are out but his interest lasts for about 5 seconds with this toy before he moves onto something more interactive and fun. I found that just a regular ball worked best to encourage his crawling. Now that he does crawl he's more interested in what I leave around the house and don't want him to get into rather than his toys anyways. Save your money to get something really fun like the Little Superstar by Fisher Price. My son loves that toy and will play with it the longest out of any other toys he has. Lets make this simple as we are just talking about a toy dump truck. This is a solid build toy that should be able to handle much your child's rough play indoors and out. This includes the wheels and the dumping mechanism. The singing driver is a little bonus, if not slightly annoying for the grown ups, that has one of those triggers that the toddlers can't really break. While the driver is not poseable it is detachable for some action figure fun. Oh.. and don't worry about choking as the action (or inaction) figure isn't easy to swallow.

The one thing I found unnecessary and kinda annoying is the "payload" that the dump truck comes with. It's just a hollowed out lump of what looks like is supposed to be a pile of dirt and debris. It's not even a round lump of plastic to roll around. It doesn't even fit into the loader that well. If there is any part of the toy that could be lost forever with the kid not ever missing it this is it.
